In order to deepen educational exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and Japan, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau and Japan Taiwan Education Support Scholar Network (SNET Taiwan) hosted students from Yamagata, Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka in Japan from December 7 to 10 this year (113) 20 representatives from high schools and educational institutions from other places conducted an on-site inspection of Tainan’s potential as an educational travel destination.
Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe said that Tainan has rich cultural and historical resources, as well as excellent educational capabilities and international vision, making it an ideal educational travel destination. The city government will continue to promote educational and cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Japan, deepen the friendship between the two countries, and attract more Japanese schools to include Tainan in their educational travel plans.
At the exchange dinner on the 9th, Vice Mayor Ye Zeshan mentioned that the delegation’s visit not only promoted Japan’s in-depth understanding of Tainan, but also laid a solid foundation for the unlimited possibilities of educational travel and cultural cooperation between the two sides. He looks forward to Tainan becoming the first choice for Japanese students to study and explore in the future, and opening up more opportunities for cooperation.
Lin Guohua, director of the Tourism Bureau, pointed out that this year has achieved remarkable results in promoting educational travel. By the end of the year, it is expected to receive nearly 3,000 international educational travel visitors, of which nearly 90% are from Japan, which fully reflects the profound cooperation foundation between Taiwan and Japan and Tainan’s Unique charm. The city government will continue to promote international education and tourism strategies, and hopes that this inspection will attract more Japanese educational institutions to choose Tainan and further expand cooperation opportunities between the two parties.
The delegation visited famous attractions such as Anping Castle, the National Museum of Taiwan History, and the Tainan Municipal Museum, and expressed high recognition of these cultural and educational resources, believing that these factors will attract more Japanese students to Taiwan. The delegation also visited Taiwan’s Intelligent Driving Test Laboratory and the features of Tainan’s high-quality high schools, gaining an in-depth understanding of Tainan’s advantages in modern education and international cooperation.
