The "2024 Tainan Summer Music Festival - General Roar", organized by the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau, enters its 13th year this year and has invited 13 well-known bands, singers and groups to perform for two consecutive days on July 20-21. The Jiangjun Fishing Port is accompanied by a fireworks show and the singing starts enthusiastically! The first day (7/20) is based on the theme of hip-hop "Taiwanese and Hong Kong Awareness", led by Sunshine Orange, Hong Weizhe, Shang Rong, Run Shao, AcQUA Yuan Boy, double finale Lou Junshuo and Jiu Yiyi; the second day (7/20) /21) is based on the theme of the band "Jiangjun BAND³", combining the beautiful sunset scenery and harbor style of Jiangjun Fishing Port, with performances by Chenyou, Bolin, Juice, Afraid of Fat Group, double finale Mango Jam and Yang Naiwen, with Huang Weizhe The mayor even made a video himself to invite everyone to join the General Roar!
At the press conference today (7/11), Mayor Huang Weizhe, Deputy Mayor Ye Zeshan, Deputy Director Hong Zhaochang of the Yunjianan Coastal National Scenic Area Management Office of the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transport, Xiao Shengzhong, Director of the Yunjianan Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Tourism Director of the Tourism Bureau Lin Guohua, District Director of Jiangjun District Office Xu Bosen, Councilors Shen Zhendong, Councilor Lin Meiyan and representatives of legislators and parliamentary service offices attended the event. The press conference specially invited hip-hop singer Run Shao, known as the "Yongkang District Underground District Chief" to attend the press conference. Run Shao was originally the assistant to the Yongkang District District Chief. He rose to prominence because of his love for hip-hop music and his participation in the "Big Hip-Hop Era" program. Sharing his understanding of hip-hop music at the press conference, he emphasized that the text of the song needs to be creative and harmonious in order for the audience to feel the interest and depth. At the press conference, Run Shao not only shared his list of must-eat and must-visit places in Tainan, he also promised that there would be an amazing performance on the day of the concert (7/20), and called on Tainan folks to come to the Jiangjunhou Music Festival to support them.

Lin Guohua, director of the Tourism Bureau, said that this year's Jiangjun Roar Fireworks Show will be held for two consecutive days, and will be combined with a light show for the first time, using the length of the south and north embankments of Jiangjun Fishing Port, which are 500 meters each, with a total width of 1,000 meters, to create low-altitude special effects. Potted flower fireworks and specially customized pyrotechnic bombs at mid-to-high altitudes create a distinct visual effect. Presented through 3 to 12-inch pyrotechnic bombs, the fireworks show is not only more exciting, but also complements the gorgeous light show, bringing a new visual enjoyment to the audience.
