Artist Yang Shiyi said that the original design was to guide people into the salt fields, feel the sunshine around them, recall the hard work of salt workers in the past, and then settle their souls in the vast salt fields. The installation aims to show the characteristics of the salt industry and marine culture and attract tourists Get close to the sea, respect the sea, look back on the past and look forward to the future of the salt industry.

Lin Guohua, director of the Municipal Tourism Bureau, pointed out that the "Tree of Life" is based on the fan-shaped outline of the salt field, using neat lines to symbolize the sunlight necessary for the salt field, creating a structure in the salt field that combines the beauty of fan salt and the spirit of the salt field.
