In addition to the Tainan Spring Festival 2024 Taiwan Lantern Festival Anping Lantern Festival, Yanshui Yuejin Harbor Lantern Festival, Longqi Sky Mountain Festival, Xinying Wave Light Festival, Puji Lantern Festival, Chenggong Lantern Festival, Shennong Lantern Festival and other lantern festival routes, Mayor Huang Weizhe shared another artistic and cultural Choose from the "Xinmei Street Historic District" and "Xinhua Old Street" that have just won the "2023 Landscape Award", with the theme of enjoying the architectural landscape, connecting the surrounding attractions, and adding architectural art and cultural sustainability to the spring walk.

"New beauty and joy are strung together"
The Xinmei Street Historic District, located in the Central and Western District, won the Outstanding Award, the largest honor of the "11th Taiwan Landscape Awards 2023". Through the discovery and reshaping of the common memories of the local people, the street paving, furniture, and building facades were rationally used. The structure and design techniques of other related facilities shape the overall atmosphere of the historical district and cultural park, making visitors feel as if they have traveled through time and wandered through the bustling historic Fucheng district to explore local stories in detail.
Xinmei Street Historic District is located on the "Duiyue Gate" route (closest to Aimen). There are three pilgrimage routes in the 2024 Taiwan Lantern Festival "Chengnan Lantern District", namely "Duiyue Gate" and "Fangxi Hejing" " and "Red Tile Xiangyang" are based on Tainan temples as the main axis, connecting the lights of temples and the memory of the city. Among them, the route of "Duiyue Gate" is the Fire Department Zhongzheng Detachment → Zheng Chenggong Ancestral Temple → Temple of Heaven, the first temple in Taiwan → Chen Deju Hall → Chijian Pengpai Business District → Taiwan Si Dian Wu Temple → Aimen SAFE ZONE → Si Dian Grand Tianhou Palace → Puji Hall → Shennong Street → Xiluo Hall → Duiyue Gate. During the day, stroll through Xinmei Street through the old times and temples and monuments of Tainan’s 400 cities. At night, follow the Duiyue Gate path to visit the classic local lantern festivals (Puji, Shennong, and Chenggong Lantern Festival).

"Xinhua Ryuzaki connected in a circle"
The improvement of the facade landscape of Xinhua Old Street is based on the practice of foreign historical cities. The signboards are reduced and lowered, and are implemented through pipeline integration, facade repair and arcade reinforcement. Finally, low-level exterior lighting is used to highlight the facade. The landscape must be approved by the owner and store owner before renovation. After the completion of the old street, the signboards will be neat and tidy without losing the flavor of the old street. Even tourists who have been to the old street can feel the more beautiful changes of the old street.
There are many scenic spots around Xinhua, such as Xinhua Wude Temple, Xinhua Guaguayuan Tourist Factory (Sweet Potato Ecological Story Museum), Tainan City’s back garden Hutoupi Scenic Area, Guanmiao Datanpi Park, Longqi Wenheng Hall, etc., and then take Provincial Route 19A to Ryuzaki Huxingshan Park (you must take the shuttle bus from Ryuzaki Wenheng Hall to enter), and you can visit the Ryuzaki Light Festival - Sora Matsuri at night.

Lin Guohua, director of the Nan City Tourism Bureau, said that Tainan’s tourism is diversified and in line with international trends. The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Destination Guidelines include the sustainable development of culture. Tainan has a long history of development. How can we take into account the integration of local economic development? , building preservation, beautification and consensus among residents are not easy. We hope that tourists can appreciate the landscape while also understanding and cherishing the crystallization of cultural preservation. There are many options for celebrating the Spring Festival. The first one is the 2024 Taiwan Lantern Festival. For more information, please visit 2024 Taiwan Lantern Festival official website and 2024 Tainan Spring Festival website.
