Today, the Municipal Tourism and Tourism Bureau, together with the Consumer Protection Officer, conducted an inspection of the tourism and accommodation industry. They conducted on-site inspections on whether the actual house price exceeded the reported price and whether the refund of the booking deposit complied with the provisions of the standardized contract. They also once again publicized the relevant information to the hotel and hotel operators. Consumer protection regulations: The hotel operators interviewed this time all cooperated with the inspection. If any suspected consumer disputes were found, the operators were asked to make improvements.
Lin Guohua, Director of Tourism and Tourism, said that when applying for establishment registration, the hotel industry and B&Bs must declare room rates (i.e. report room rates). According to the hotel industry management rules and B&B management measures, tourists will be charged regardless of summer vacation, Lunar New Year or consecutive holidays. The room price shall not exceed the reported room price. If the actual room rate charged exceeds the price, according to Article 55, Item 3 of the Tourism Development Regulations, the Tourism Bureau will impose a fine of not less than NT$10,000 but not more than NT$50,000.
