The Christmas season is approaching. This year, the Tainan City Government once again joined hands with the professional team of Yunlin University of Science and Technology to implement the 2023 Christmas tree planning and design. Last year, the Christmas tree designed by the school for the city won the key design competition of the International Awards Associates (IAA) - Miao The Muse Design Awards have shone brightly on the international stage with 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals. This year’s theme is “Tainan 400 - The Rise of History and the Succession of Happiness” to connect Tainan’s past and present and create a historical Cultural Christmas tree event. This year’s exhibition area includes two distinctive main lights on the west side of Hele Square and Xinying Cultural Center, Xinying Green River Corridor, Xinying Railway Landscape Park and Daliang Ecological Park. The above light areas have been lit in advance to create a Christmas atmosphere. It is for citizens to check in and kick off the 2023 Tainan Christmas Light Festival.
Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe said that over the past 400 years, the original residents of Tainan and various ethnic groups from around the world have interacted on this land, resulting in a diverse national life. An ancient cultural capital that we are all proud of.
