Tainan held its first "2023 Tainan International Yachting Life Festival" grandly on 9/9 and 9/10 at Yaguo Tainan Anping Yacht Marina. Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe said that implementing the important policy of paying tribute to the ocean is one of Tainan's development priorities. In this regard, the city government team will play the role of chief helmsman and lead Tainan to sail smoothly. It will also work with the Central Ministry of Transportation and Harbor Bureau, The policy forces of the Tourism Bureau and the Port Company are working together to accelerate progress. By promoting yacht tourism, we hope that the Anping Marina will become a new tourist attraction in Tainan. This time, we also held a yacht forum to work together with industry, government, and academia to explore how to combine Tainan’s rich marine resources to build a more complete Tainan marine recreation industry and create a sustainable and friendly yacht tourism development environment.

We hope that through related recreational experience activities, we can personally experience the charm of yachts. This event has brought a new yacht leisure industry and business opportunities to Anping. In the future, we will continue to hold more marine series of activities to promote the beauty of Tainan’s ocean to everyone and make Tainan a major development center for marine tourism in Taiwan.

However, in recent years, maritime yachting recreational activities have become more and more popular, and related industries have received increasing attention from the government. In response to the government's support for marine activities, the Lohas Marine Academy in Anping, Tainan, took this opportunity to donate the sailing boat "Lohas" to Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology to build a bridge for industry-university cooperation in the marine leisure industry. In the future, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology plans to establish a Department of Marine Recreation to take root in marine education.
