The Xibin Expressway of Taiwan Line 84 connects with Taiwan Line 20 from Beimen in the west to Yujing District in the east. The golden flower rain blooms every year from April to July. It is one of the four scenic roads selected by China Post as the "Beauty of Taiwan Highway" theme stamp. Mayor Huang Weizhe of the Tainan City Government stated that it is a major policy policy of the city government to develop and build highways, mountains and seas for recreation and tourism and to promote local industrial livelihoods. It is hoped that the Yunjianan Binhai and Siraya National Scenic Areas will be connected together, and the tourism axis of the two major national scenic spots will be expanded into the Taiwan 84 Sightseeing and Recreation Corridor. It is hoped that this project will allow Chinese people to see the beauty of Tainan along the way, and hope to bring crowds into the area. Residents and roaming in the local area will promote overall local business opportunities and promote the development of the real estate industry.
In order to extensively collect the needs and imaginations of local people, non-governmental organizations and business operators, the Tourism Bureau of Tainan City Government held a local briefing session on September 6, 2012 in the auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Madou District Office. Legislators, councilors, village chiefs, non-governmental organizations and relevant public sector agencies attended and gave advice. Among them were Mr. Chen Qiuhong and Mayor Liu Shixiong of Madou District, Mr. Guo Guowen, Mr. Chen Tingfei, Mr. Wu Tonglong, Mr. You Rongzhi, Mr. Chen Kunhe and Xie Shufan. Representatives from Parliamentarian Services were present. Many local practitioners in various fields, workers in related fields who have long been concerned about the development of the recreational axis along Taiwan 84, and relevant public sector agencies have come to give advice and provide many professional opinions to build consensus, which will serve as a reference for the subsequent promotion of this plan.
The current preliminary conception of this project is to divide the sightseeing axis along Taiwan 84 into three loop systems. The North Gate and Xuejia District will preserve the characteristics of the aquaculture landscape in the Inland Sea area, and make full use of its rich fish ponds, oyster fields, and salt fields to preserve their surroundings. The characteristics of the industrial landscape endow it with creative energy, and combine the Daofeng Inner Sea scenic spot and the Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area to form a circular corridor of scenic spots. Madou, Xiaying, and Guantian districts are rural-style scenic areas. It is expected that through the preservation of industrial textures such as rice fields, lotus, orchids, water towns, and sugar factories, sustainable agriculture and landscape creation will be promoted to form a water-rising water Green leisure ring corridor. Da Nei and Yujing districts use the link between the leisure industry and the hills and slopes to combine the unique landscape of the Moon World with the vast agricultural leisure industry to develop in-depth tourism for ecological exploration and form a ring corridor for exploring the natural ecology of suburban mountains.
Lin Guohua, director of the Tourism Bureau of Tainan City Government, said that the east and west ends of Taiwan 84 connect Yunjianan Coast and Siraya National Scenic Area. Scattered sightseeing and recreation resources are gradually built into a sightseeing system that can travel everywhere after passing through the interchange under Taiwan 84. In conjunction with the promotion and implementation of related software planning and hardware construction in the surrounding areas, it is expected to drive the development of local tourism and related leisure industries. Strengthen the local consumption economy and create employment opportunities, and bring a new look to the Xibei area of Greater Tainan.
