The annual Hutoupi New Year's Day Children's Sketching Competition ended successfully at 3:30 pm today (31st). The families participating in the sketching in the Hutoupi Scenic Area warmed up the entire lakeside. The competition site gathered children who were sketching art, and parents and children shared sketching Fun, each show different framing, creation, painting techniques, sway brushes and artistic expression, and feel the beauty of Hutoupi art. The distinguished guests included Lu Zhenyi, Secretary of the Tourism and Tourism Bureau, Lin Zhizhan, Deputy Speaker, Li Weizhi, and Wu Jinxi, District Mayor of Xinhua District Waiting for the distinguished guests to attend together.
In his speech, Chairman Lu Zhenyi of the Tourism Bureau said that the significance of the sketching competition is not only to inherit the long-standing tradition, but also to nurture talents in the local art field in Taiwan. Director Chen Hongtian of the Hutoupi Scenic Area Management Office pointed out that a total of 300 schoolchildren signed up for this children's sketching competition, and children from New Taipei City, the south of Taichung City and Pingtung County from north to south participated in the competition. The vitality is average, and the works are lifelike and vivid on the paper, each showing a professional painting posture. After the on-site acceptance, the review committee composed of experts hired in advance by the Tainan Academy of Fine Arts will immediately select 1-3 winners and 10 excellent works from each group, and Lin Zhizhan, vice chairman of the conference, and other distinguished guests will publicly present bonuses and certificates for encouragement. This year’s New Year’s Day holidays, Hutoupi Scenic Area also launched music performances by street performers and small farmers’ markets to provide citizens and tourists visiting Tainan with a richer travel experience, inviting the public to hike around the lake, ride bicycles, camp, and barbecue.
