| Guanziling Scenic Area has the only natural mud hot spring in Taiwan that was first developed in Taiwan and has been famous since the Japanese occupation period. In 2018, it was rated as the top ten hot springs in the country. It has been a tourist focus in the Xibei area of Tainan for many years. The "water and fire are from the same source" in the area has been renamed as one of the seven wonders of Taiwan, and it is a must-see attraction for tourists in Guanziling. Mayor Huang Weizhe paid special attention to the tourism development of Guanziling Scenic Area, and instructed the Tourism and Tourism Bureau of Tainan City Government to obtain 68 million yuan for the central government for tourism prospective construction design and painting, of which 25 million yuan will be used for basic service facilities, landscape features and shops of the water and fire attractions. The operating environment has been improved to provide tourists with a better sightseeing and tourism environment. Water and Fire Tongyuan Shopping Street is an early traditional shop selling local agricultural products and special foods in Guanziling. It is also a scenic spot where tourists gather to take pictures and rest. After optimizing the landscape of the original trail next to the shopping street, the “Zhi”-shaped trail design guides the movement of tourists, and is supplemented by mountain cherry trees, maple trees and plantings to increase the visual level. Simple and refreshing style, through the low-chromatic color configuration, to create a nostalgic mountain town style with modern design techniques. It is expected that the mountain cherry blossoms will be in full bloom when spring comes, and it will become a new secret place for cherry blossom viewing. It also provides a space for tourists to stop and rest and eat, so that shopping tourists in the shopping street can relax and have a picnic and eat in the beautiful garden. The water and fire pools are paved with pebbles to improve the original concrete hard pavement and decorated with water lilies to restore the water and fire pools to the most primitive natural landscape. Guo Zhenhui, director of tourism and tourism, said that in order to promote the diversified development of Guanziling, the city government has held the "Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival" every year since 2003. It uses hot springs, night festivals, bathrobes, food and other elements to show the characteristics of Guanziling Scenic Area. Experience the retro historical scenes in the street, appreciate the sunset at the Volcano Biyun Temple, take photos of the sights such as the same source of water and fire, and Lingding Park. In the future, the Guanziling area will still be invested in a number of plans, and will continue to be constructed and marketed. Together with the Siraya National Scenic Area Management Office, the Guanziling Scenic Area will become the most distinctive and must-visit hot spring area in Taiwan. |
