Source: Rong-Fa Jhou, Commercial Times, July 29, 2014 04:10 The Tainan Biotechnology Green Energy Expo 2014 from September 12 to September 15, co-organized by Tainan City Government and the leading domestic professional media ‘Commercial Times’, has a major breakthrough this year, that is, teaming up with Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) for the event. Apart from adding overseas buyer procurement meetings, the newspaper actively approaches representatives of foreign countries in Taiwan to participate in the exhibition. At least five countries have so far committed; it is expected this year’s expo will move the event towards an international context. Building Tainan into a green energy biotech city has always been Mayor William Lai’s most wanted task. In addition to facilitating urban population employment, it also equips Tainan with the two international trends – health and energy saving, and drives the City towards an all-round development. Therefore, the co-organizers of the exposition interact with TAITRA enthusiastically to generate international procurement meetings and international exhibition areas. TAITRA will look for overseas buyers and arrange specific meetings targeting professional green energy products in Taiwan; the international exhibition area will bring in at least five countries to participate as exhibitors; together they will be able to extend Tainan’s international exposure. In Tainan Biotechnology Green Energy Expo 2014, the biotechnology exhibition area will be designed as six main blocks, including the government image zone, international industrial zone, industry-academia R&D zone (including industry alliance), medical equipment zone, beauty care zone, and food and healthcare zone. The organizers will invite foreign-oriented industries to participate as exhibitors and arrange trade meetings, hoping to systematically introduce various biotechnologies and products, and facilitate business opportunities. Adopting such as B2B and B2C modes, it is hoped to construct a professional marketing platform for domestic biotech healthcare products to access the best marketing channel, and create triple wins for the City, the industry, and the consumers. |
