Telegram from China Review News Agency; reporter Jia-Lin Jhao.) The Director of the Anping Attractive Commercial District Development Association, Jhih-Fong Jhou, in a China Review News Agency interview on October 8 stated that as China's tourism law kicked in, its effect on Taiwan's tourism industry would be “a booming market for the time being, but the trend would reverse in the long run”. Anping's tourism-related businesses served both group tours and self-guided backpackers. Presently there hadn't been any impact on the business yet. The Anping Attractive Commercial District Development Association was established by its own local shop owners. After more than a decade's hard work, it was recently awarded "Golden Business Marketing" and " Excellent Business Administration Operation" at the third Business Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs after being ranked in the top four international business districts in Taiwan last year. The president of the Tainan City Commercial District Joint Promotion Association, Shen-He Hu and others came to express their congratulations on the 8th. Hopefully each commercial district will develop its distinct characteristics and together boost Tainan business opportunities. The Director of Anping Attractive Commercial District Development Association, Jhih-Fong Jhou is the owner of Chou's Shrimp Rolls, a famous restaurant in Anping. The first generation owner of Chou's Shrimp Rolls started out as a catering chef; the second generation extended the business to a traditional street vendor selling fried shrimp rolls; the third generation, in the hands of Jhih-Fong Jhou, has been transformed into today's composite operational model-a modern food court outlet, banquet restaurant and souvenir specialty store. Chou's Shrimp Rolls has attended various food exhibitions in mainland China many times with other Tainan food industries. |
