The Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival will enter its 16th year this year. In order to expand and shape the characteristics of Guanziling’s annual Fire Lord Lantern Festival Parade, the Tainan City Government Tourism and Tourism Bureau specially cooperated with local hot spring industry and associations this year. "Guanziling Special Lantern Making Workshop", in addition to the hot spring food festival that is expected to be launched in September, also hopes that through the cooperation of industry, government, academia, and the public, the activities will be more connected and involved. The workshop started on July 20 at Xiancao Elementary School in Baihe District. After 4 days of hard work by teachers, students and the public, 18 lanterns have also entered the final stage. The mayor also performed for the first time to experience the traditional lantern making, showcasing the cultural and military aspects of the Mayor of Quantang.
On the fourth day of the study, the students became more and more experienced. The teachers and students of the Art Class of Nanxin Middle School said that this is the first time we have brought students to experience the making of such a large lantern. It is very special and very fulfilling! The Dragon and Phoenix Fetus Parent-Child Group in Baihe District is also very happy to be able to participate in such a meaningful course in the summer vacation. The students also asked the teacher how to make the lantern structure.
